What does STAND mean and what is the mission?
STAND is an acronym for Steamboat Team to Disrupt Anti-Discrimination and Discrimination. Mission: STAND works to disrupt hate and promote anti-discrimination through education, policy change, partnerships, and positively influencing the next generation. STAND held its first convening in February 2023.
Is STAND a registered non-profit and are donations tax deductible?
STAND is wholly owned by The Jewish Congregation of Steamboat Springs ‘Har Mishpacha’ a Colorado 501(c)(3). Tax deductible donations are processed via the Har Mishpacha Give Lively account and are earmarked specifically for STAND.
Are STAND convenings, events and gatherings free?
Unless otherwise stated, STAND convenings, events and gatherings free and open to anyone who would like to attend. In some cases registration is required and there may be limited seats available.
Who benefits from STAND’s work?
Everyone! STAND is here to serve everyone in Steamboat Springs, the Yampa Valley and Routt County. We encourage you to get involved.
